单词记忆涉及七个方面：
一是形；
二是义（单义、多义）；
三是音；
四是词性；
五是用法（包括相关词组的用法）；（用法通常与英语地道句子、地道文章相关）
六是构词法与词源（即单词背后的文化）；
七是词群；（即同义词、反义词、同根词、同缀词、近形词、变形词等）
近形词举例：make---take; around---abound等；
变形词举例：狗dog---上帝god；生活live----罪恶evil等；

记忆单词的重要目的在“使用”。我们平常的经验是：即使我们能将一本“字典”倒背如流，但我们也有可能写不出好文章，除非我们背诵了大量的优美文章（包括古文）。所以，最好的单词记忆法一定是与记单词所在的地道英语句子相联系的。
作为一种在单词“形”“义”之间，进行加工记忆的方法：第一步：找单词 ；第二步：找拼音；第三步：找编码；第四步：找谐音。我认为思路非常对。但有些例子却违背了这个原则：如audit   ，n. v. 审计，查账---audi本身是一个词根，其义为“听”，audit 原义为旁听而审计的意思。对这样的单词的记忆：我个人认为，第一次记忆时可按词根词缀记忆；再次记忆时可锦上添花，按谐音记忆，这样才不失英语单词其中的文化本义，且形成“双（或多）通道”记忆。

我个人有两个看法，1、那就是首先加工单词之形，然后再出现单词之义，这是符合记忆规律的。2、单词之形的加工，应符合整体最大化法则，不宜分得过细。
对应观点1：widow――寡妇；分析：window――窗户；n――“泥”的拼音首字母。记忆：寡妇的工作是要把窗户上的泥擦干净。-------------这里的加工首先“单词之义”（寡妇）摆在前面，请问人们如何先知道单词之义，再联系上单词之形的？个人的看法是：先加工单词之形，然后再联系上单词之义：widow――寡妇,记忆：“window窗户”的“小窗n”（注：我本人的编码，n指窗，外形象窗）都被拿掉了、封死了，“寡妇”在屋里面孤单的生活着，渴望着。（这种记忆加工融入了情感）
对应观点2：menace；n. v. 威胁；分析：men——男人们；a——“一”；ce——“厕”的拼音。记忆：男人们在一个厕所里受到了威胁。----------建议最大化分拆：menace=men+ace，于是可以这样记忆：“男人men”最能“脸ace”(取初中单词face脸替代ace）对“威胁”，这样才具有男子汉气概。
